"Large Things"

 by Don Emmitte

Don't be misled. Remember that you can't ignore God and get away with it. You will always reap what you sow! Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful desires will harvest the consequences of decay and death. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time. Whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone, especially to our Christian brothers and sisters. (Galatians 6:7-10 NLT).

When hard times befall you, and your load is too heavy to bear. When you explored many routes, yet resolution seems nowhere near...Cast your cares to the Lord, and let Him take your pain. Cleave to Him tightly, and it won't be long before the sun shines through the rain. It may take a day, or it may take a year, but of the answer, have no fear! God is faithful, and He is good, and He will do all that He should. He is there to do His part, but the rest is up to you. Feel His love and wisdom even when you are feeling blue.

It is not easy to smile when we are walking over bumpy ground, but nothing is impossible when we allow His merciful comfort to surround! God is a loving Father who extends a gentle hand. Take hold of it, and let Him carry you across the burning sand.

Call on Him for large things, and also for the small. Surrender your life to God, and He will take care of it all!

Let His love wash over you, and cleanse you of your sin; forget the rain, and face the sun (Son), and you can begin again! Isn't God so merciful? Isn't He so grand? Who else loves you so much as to pick you up and help you to stand? God isn't there to carry us forever and a day, for it is up to us to stand on our own, but let Him direct our way! So spread this message and share it with others in the land; let them know that God is calling them, but it is up to them to grab His hand. No longer will you walk alone, so smile and be glad! A blessing is in store for you; a gift from your heavenly dad! So do good, and don't give up, for our reward is very near! Earthly woes will slip away, and there will be no more fear. In His embrace His children will remain; close to His heart so dear.
